Talley's Summer Reading Challenge

1. Read a book - by yourself or aloud with your family
2. Create SOMETHING that can advertise your book (for ideas, see list below)
3. Turn it in to Mrs. Long in the library during the first week of school
4. Get house points AND an invitation to a special celebration after turning in your project!

Book Project Ideas

Fiction

• Create a movie poster to advertise your book
• Write an advertisement that would inspire others to read your book
• Create a diorama of a scene from your book
• Create a book trailer
• Paint a rock to look like a character from your book
• Create art that represents a scene in your book
• Design a sticker that represents your book
• Turn a chapter book into a graphic novel
• Turn a graphic novel into a chapter book
• Write a sequel to the book you read
• Create a magazine about your book
• Create a yearbook featuring the characters in the book
• Create a social media profile for a character in your book (pretend - on paper)
• The options are endless!

Nonfiction

• Create a diorama of the topic of your book
• Create an informational poster about the topic of your book
• Write an advertisement that would inspire others to read your book

Activity Books (cookbooks, how-to guides, crafting/art books, etc.)

• Build/create things from the books and make a photo collage of your creations
